[KJV]말 3:1
Behold,
I will send my messenger,
and he shall prepare the way before me:
and the Lord, whom ye seek,
shall suddenly come to his temple,
even the messenger of the covenant,
whom ye delight in:
behold,
he shall come,
saith the LORD of hosts.

예수님의 재림은 7년 환란이 끝나고 이루어 진다.

[KJV]사 40:3
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness,
Prepare ye the way of the LORD,
make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
요한이 광야의 외치는 자로 왔다.

이스라엘은 주의 길을 예비하지 않았으며

그들의 하나님을 위해 사막에 대로를 만들지 않았다.

환란 때에 그 엘리아를 다시 만나게 될 것이다.

[KJV]사 40:4
Every valley shall be exalted,
and every mountain and hill shall be made low:
and the crooked shall be made straight,
and the rough places plain:

¶ 그들이 떠나매 예수님께서 무리들에게 요한에 대하여 말씀하기 시작하시되, 너희가 무엇을 보려고 광야에 나갔느냐? 바람에 흔들리는 갈대냐?

그러나 너희가 무엇을 보려고 나갔느냐? 부드러운 옷을 입은 사람이냐? 보라, 부드러운 옷을 입은 자들은 왕들의 집에 있느니라.

그러나 너희가 무엇을 보려고 나갔느냐? 대언자냐? 그러하다. 내가 너희에게 이르노니, 대언자보다 더 나은 자니라.

기록된바, 보라, 내가 내 사자를 네 얼굴 앞에 보내노니 그가 네 앞에서 네 길을 예비하리라, 하신 말씀이 가리키는 자가 곧 이 사람이니라.

진실로 내가 너희에게 이르노니, 여자에게서 태어난 자들 가운데 [침례자] 요한보다 더 큰 자가 일어나지 아니하였도다.

그럼에도 불구하고 하늘의 왕국에서 가장 작은 자가 그보다 더 크니라.

[침례자] 요한의 시대로부터 지금까지 하늘의 왕국은 폭력을 당하며 폭력배들이 강제로 그것을 빼앗느니라.

모든 대언자와 율법은 요한까지 대언하였나니


[KJV]마 11:14
만일 너희가 그것을 받아들이려 할진대'
와야 할 엘리야가 곧 이 사람이니라.

And if ye will receive [it],
this is Elias,
which was for to come.

만일 너희가 그것을 받아들이려 할진대(한다면),
와야 할 엘리야가 곧 이 사람이니라.
(바로 이사람이 엘리야의 역할을 하게 될것이다. 실제로 이사람은 예수님이 재림하실 때에 엘리아로 온다.)
만일에 이스라엘 백성이 침례자 요한을 받아들이고 예수님을 구원자로 맞아 들였다면 그들은 환란을 겪지 아니하고 회복을 맞이 했을 것이다.
대언대로 작은 산이 낮아지고 골짜기가 메워지는 예언이 이루어 진다.
요한이 와서 이러한 일이 이루어지지 않았으므로 이시기는 연기 된 것이다.
그런데도 이것을 억지로 다른 말로 맞춘다면 그것은 오류이다.

이건 마지막 때에 이루어지는 사건이다.

그 엘리아가 다시오는 시기, 

계시록의 두 증인중 한사람이 엘리아라고 추측하는 이유가 그것이다.

[KJV]막 1:2~4
As it is written in the prophets,

Behold,

I send my messenger before thy face,

which shall prepare thy way before thee.

The voice of one crying in the wilderness,

Prepare ye the way of the Lord,

make his paths straight.

John did baptize in the wilderness,

and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.


[KJV]눅 1:15~17
For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord,

and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink;

and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost,

even from his mother's womb.

And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.

And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias,

to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,

and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just;

to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.



[KJV]눅 7:28
For I say unto you,
Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist:
but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

대언자 중에 요한보다 더 큰 자(a greater prophet )는 없다.
그 이유는 메시아의 대언자들 중에서 오직 그만 모든 사람이 보기 원하던 그분의 일을 직접 보았기 때문이다.

그런데도 하나님의 왕국에서는 요한보다 작은 자는 없다.
그 이유는 우리 주님의 죽음과 부활로 인한 왕국의 확립을 그가 보지 못했기 때문이다.

[KJV]요 1:20-22
And he confessed, and denied not;

but confessed,

I am not the Christ.

And they asked him, What then?
Art thou Elias?
And he saith, I am not.

Art thou that prophet?
And he answered, No.

Then said they unto him,
Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us.
What sayest thou of thyself?

요한은 자신이 그리스도는 아니고,

엘리아라고도 하지 않았다.

그는 당연히 그리스도는 아니다.

그런데 그의 직분인 엘리아라고 하지 않은 이유는 예수님이 말씀하신대로

"만일 너희가 그것을 받아들이려 할진대(한다면),  
와야 할 엘리야가 곧 이 사람이니라. "

 

그들이 예수님을 그리스도로 받아들이지 않았으므로 엘리아의 역할을 하지 않은 것이다.
