예수님의 부모 ???

눅 2:27.
성령의 감동으로 성전에 들어가매 마침 부모가 율법의 관례대로 행하고자 하여 그 아기 예수를 데리고 오는지라(개역개정)

 Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required(NIV)

그의 부모가 해마다 유월절이 되면 예루살렘으로 가더니(개역개정)

 Every year his parents went to Jerusalem for the Feast of the Passover.(NIV)

 

이제 그분의 양친은 해마다 유월절이 되면 예루살렘에 갔더라.(흠정역)

Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.(KJV)

그 날들을 마치고 돌아갈 때에 아이 예수는 예루살렘에 머무셨더라 그 부모는 이를 알지 못하고(개역개정)

After the Feast was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it.(NIV)

 

그 날들을 채우고 돌아갈 때에 아이 예수님은 뒤에 남아 예루살렘에 머무셨더라. 요셉과 그분의 어머니는 그것을 알지 못한 채(흠정역)

And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.(KJV)

그의 부모가 보고 놀라며 그의 어머니는 이르되 아이야 어찌하여 우리에게 이렇게 하였느냐 보라 네 아버지와 내가 근심하여 너를 찾았노라(개역개정)

When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, "Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you."(NIV)

 

그들이 그분을 보고 놀라며 그분의 어머니는 그분께 이르되, 아들아, 네가 어찌하여 우리에게 이렇게 하였느냐? 보라, 네 아버지와 내가 근심하며 너를 찾았노라, 하매(흠정역)

And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.(KJV)

그 부모가 그가 하신 말씀을 깨닫지 못하더라(개역개정)

그들은 그분께서 자기들에게 하신 말씀을 깨닫지 못하더라.(흠정역)

누가복음에서

위의 구절들을 비교해 보면 개역개정(NIV)은 일관되게 “부모”라고 표현한다.

이에 반해 흠정역은 통칭이 필요할 때는 “양친(부모)”이라고 표현하고, 요셉과 마리아의 개별적인 상황 일때는 분명히 “요셉과 그분의 어머니”라고 한다.

따라서 요셉과 그의 어머니는 당연히 구분되는 것을 알 수 있다.

 

예수님은 당연히 ‘여자의 씨’로 오신 것이다. 이것을 분명히 하는 것은 너무도 당연한 것이다. 그런데 개역(개정, NIV)은 그것을 가리고 있다. 이부분을 개역(개정,NIV)로 읽는 독자는 당연히 걱정이 된다. 혹하는 생각이 드는 것이다. 이부분을 물고 늘어지는 이들이 있다면 변명이 옹색해지는 것이다.

그러면 왜  이런 중요한 부분에서 자꾸만 바꾸고 있는 것인가에 대하여 심각하고 깊게 생각을 해야한다.
