히브리서 10장
1 율법은 다가올 좋은 일들의 그림자는 가지고 있으나 그 일들의 형상 그 자체는 아니므로 그들이 해마다 계속해서 드린 그런 희생물들로는 거기로 오는 자들을 결코 완전하게 할 수 없느니라.	1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, [and] not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
2 그럴 수 있었더라면 경배하는 자들이 한 번에 깨끗하게 되어 더 이상 죄들을 의식하지 아니하였을 것이므로 그것들을 드리는 일이 중단되지 아니하였겠느냐?	2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
3 그러나 그 희생물들에는 해마다 죄들을 다시 생각나게 하는 것이 있나니	3 But in those [sacrifices there is] a remembrance again [made] of sins every year.
4 이는 황소와 염소의 피가 죄들을 제거하는 것이 불가능하기 때문이라.	4 For [it is] not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
5 그러므로 그분께서 세상에 들어오실 때에 이르시되, 희생물과 헌물은 주께서 원치 아니하시고 오히려 나를 위해 한 몸을 예비하셨나이다.	5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
시40:6-8
6 죄로 인한 번제 헌물과 희생물은 주께서 기뻐하지 아니하셨나이다.	6 In burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7 그때에 내가 말하기를, 오 하나님이여, 보시옵소서, 내가 주의 뜻을 행하러 오나이다. (두루마리 책에 나에 대하여 기록된 것이 있나이다) 하였나이다, 하시느니라.	7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
8 위에서 그분께서 이르시기를, 희생물과 헌물과 번제 헌물과 죄로 인한 헌물은 주께서 원치 아니하시고 기뻐하지도 아니하셨나이다, 하셨는데 그것들은 율법에 따라 드리는 것들이라.	8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and [offering] for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure [therein]; which are offered by the law;
9 그 뒤에 그분께서 이르시기를, 오 하나님이여, 보시옵소서, 내가 주의 뜻을 행하러 오나이다, 하셨으니 그분께서 첫째 것을 제거하심은 둘째 것을 세우려 하심이라.	9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 바로 이 뜻에 의해 예수 그리스도의 몸이 한 번 영원히 드려짐을 통해 우리가 거룩히 구별되었노라.	10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once [for all].
11 제사장마다 날마다 서서 섬기며 자주 같은 희생물들을 드려도 그것들은 결코 죄들을 제거할 수 없으나	11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 이 사람은 죄들로 인해 한 희생물을 영원히 드리신 뒤에 하나님 오른쪽에 앉으셔서	12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 그 이후부터 자기 원수들이 자기 발 받침이 될 때까지 기다리시나니	13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 이는 그분께서 한 번 헌물을 드림으로써 거룩히 구별된 자들을 영원토록 완전하게 하셨기 때문이라.	14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
15 이것에 관하여는 성령님도 우리에게 증인이 되시나니 그분께서 앞서 이르시기를,	15 [Whereof] the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 그 날들 이후에 내가 그들과 맺을 언약이 이것이라. 주가 말하노라. 내가 내 법들을 그들의 마음속에 두고 그들의 생각 속에 그것들을 기록하리라, 하신 뒤에	16 This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 또, 내가 그들의 죄들과 불법들을 다시는 기억하지 아니하리라, 하셨느니라.	17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 이제 이것들의 사면이 있는 곳에서는 죄로 인한 헌물이 더 이상 필요 없느니라.	18 Now where remission of these [is, there is] no more offering for sin.
19 그러므로 형제들아, 우리가 예수님의 피에 의거하여 새롭고 살아 있는 길로 지성소에 들어갈 담대함을 얻었는데	19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
영문의 19,20 절이 한문장이다.
20 이 길은 그분께서 우리를 위하여 휘장 곧 자기 육체를 통해 거룩히 구분하신 것이니라.	20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 또 하나님의 집을 다스리는 대제사장께서 우리에게 계시므로	21 And [having] an high priest over the house of God;
22 우리 마음이 뿌림을 받아 악한 양심으로부터 벗어났고 우리 몸이 순수한 물로 씻겼으니 우리가 믿음의 충만한 확신 속에서 진실한 마음으로 다가갈 것이니라.	22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 (약속하신 분께서 신실하시니) 우리가 우리 믿음의 고백을 흔들림 없이 굳게 잡고	23 Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he [is] faithful that promised;)
24 서로를 주의 깊게 살펴보아 사랑과 선한 행위를 하도록 격려하며	24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 어떤 사람들의 습관과 같이 우리의 함께 모이는 일을 폐하지 말고 서로 권면하되 그날이 다가옴을 너희가 볼수록 더욱더 그리하자.	25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
26 우리가 진리에 관한 지식을 받은 뒤에 고의로 죄를 지으면 다시는 죄들로 인한 희생물이 남아 있지 아니하고	26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
구원에 관한 지식을 받고, 그 구원에 관하여 정면으로 부인하면, 그는 구원을 받지 못한다. 럭크만은 7년 환란중을 가르키는 말이라고 한다. 그러나 문맥상 그것이 보이지 않는다. 구원은 거부 할 수 있다는 말씀이다. 다만 구원과 그리고 다른 죄들의 용서는 진리를 받고 구원을 받은 후에 해결된다.
27 대적들을 삼킬 심판과 불같은 격노에 대하여 두렵게 기다리는 어떤 일만 남아 있느니라.	27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 모세의 율법을 멸시한 자도 두세 증인으로 인해 긍휼을 얻지 못하고 죽었거든	28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 하나님의 아들을 발로 밟고 자기를 거룩히 구별한 언약의 피를 거룩하지 않은 것으로 여기며 은혜의 영께 무례히 행한 자가 당연히 받을 것으로 생각되는 형벌은 얼마나 더 극심하겠느냐? 너희는 생각해 보라.	29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
당연히 구원을 거부한 자들을 가르킨다. 그들의 거부는 우주의 모든 것과 자신의 모든 것을 거부하는 거역이다. 그것이 모두 하나님의 것이기 때문이다. 자신의 몸의 모든 것도 하나님의 것이다. 자신이 하는 거역의 일이 무엇인지 의미를 모른다. 그들은 빅뱅과 진화의 성안으로 들어가 농성중이다. 그것이 허무한 거짓말임은 조금만 생각해보면 알일이다.
30 원수 갚는 일은 내게 속하니 내가 갚으리라. 주가 말하노라, 하시고 또다시, 주가 자신의 백성을 심판하리라, 하고 말씀하신 분을 우리가 아노니	30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance [belongeth] unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 살아 계신 하나님의 손안으로 떨어지는 것은 두려운 일이니라.	31 [It is] a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32 그러나 너희가 조명을 받은 뒤에 고난의 큰 싸움을 견디어 냈던 이전 날들을 회상해 보라.	32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
33 한편으로는 너희가 비방과 고난으로 말미암아 구경거리가 되었고 다른 한편으로는 그렇게 취급받은 자들과 사귀는 자들이 되었으니	33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
34 이는 너희에게 하늘에 더 좋고 영구한 실체가 있는 줄 너희 자신이 알므로 결박 중에 있는 나를 너희가 불쌍히 여겼고 너희 재산을 노략당하는 것도 기쁘게 여겼기 때문이라.	34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
35 그러므로 너희의 확신을 버리지 말라. 그 확신에 큰 보상의 보응이 있느니라.	35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36 너희가 하나님의 뜻을 행한 뒤에 그 약속하신 것을 받기 위해서는 너희에게 인내가 필요하니라.	36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
37 조금 있으면 오실 분께서 오실 것이요 지체하지 아니하시리라.	37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
38 이제 의인은 믿음으로 살리라. 그러나 만일 어떤 사람이 뒤로 물러가면 내 혼이 그를 기뻐하지 아니하리라.	38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if [any man] draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
혼soul은 존재 자체를 칭한다.
39 그러나 우리는 뒤로 물러가 멸망에 이르는 자들에게 속하지 아니하고 믿어서 혼을 구원하는 자들에게 속하느니라.	39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
